From traditional media creators like journalists and television writers, to new media creators like podcasters, YouTubers, gaming streamers, and social media influencers, the media plays a huge role in young people’s perceptions of themselves. Young people can have near-constant access to these forms of media, and it can be hard for parents to filter everything that their children are reading and watching.
We need content creators to join us in challenging stereotypes by portraying vulnerability, connection, and respectful relationships, on screen and on social media.
